Allison Lee Lehuanani Abadilla, 65, of Hilo, died Oct. 19, 2022 at her residence. Born on Oct. 17, 1957, on Oahu, she was a homemaker and member of the New Hope Hilo. John Noah Jr.

John Kekaula Noah Jr., 80, of Kailua-Kona, died Sept. 7, 2022 in Kealakekua. Born on May 1, 1942, in Honolulu, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Hawaiian Telcom. Charlene See

Charlene “Sharon” Jan See, 69, of Pahala, died Oct. 14, 2022 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 4, 1953, in Pahala, she was a retired nurse for the State of Hawaii. A celebration of life will be held on Nov. 19, visitation at 12 p.m. and service to follow at 1 p.m. at Ballard Family Mortuary, Hilo. Julian Chang

Julian Tin Cho Chang, 92, of Mountain View, died oJuly 5, 2022. Born Nov. 1, 1929, he worked for Mutual Telephone Company and retired from Hawaiian Tel. Celebrations of life are planned on the Big Island at St Theresa Catholic Church, Nov. 4, 9 a.m. visitation, 10:00 a.m. eulogy, Mass to follow, as well as on Molokai on Nov. 11 and Oahu on Nov. 18. He is survived by sons, Jacob (Darlene) Chang, Michael (Stephanie) Chang, Christopher (Leialoha) Chang, Francis (Nina) Chang, and Gregory (Alexandria) Chang; daughters, Julie-Ann (Dartagnon) Bicoy, Catherine (Ivan) Kawamae, Malia (Michael) Moniz; 26 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Lavaina Ferreira

Lavaina Barbara Arthur Ferreira, 93, of Waimea, and formerly of Honolulu, died Oct. 17, 2022, at Hale Ho’ola Hamakua. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired librarian assistant with Maryknoll High School on Oahu and a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Waimea. Services held at a later date. She is survived by daughters, Catherine Ferreira, Cynthia (Tom) Young, Charissa (Manolo) Tumalip, Cecilia (Matthew) Shizuru, all of Honolulu and Christine Hijirida of Waimea; and six grandchildren. Kenneth Ah Lo

Kenneth “Ken” Apo Ah Lo, 81, of Hilo, died Sept. 23, 2022, at his residence. Born in Hilo, he was the president/owner of Data Processing Services, Inc., part owner of Island Survey, Inc., and owner of the former Firehouse Restaurant, member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, past President of the Hawaii Island Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, Hilo Crescent Lions Club, Hui Wa’a O Waiakea Canoe Club, Hilo Jaycees Foundation, and treasurer of numerous businesses and community associations. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Nov. 4 at Dodo Mortuary chapel; funeral service at 6 p.m. Graveside committal service 9:30 a.m. Nov. 5 at Homelani Memorial Park. Tomasa Martinez Valdez, 87, of Hilo, died Sept. 14, 2022 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Dec. 21, 1934, in Santa Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she worked for Miyashiro Poultry Farm in Hawaii and was a member of the World Mission Center in Hilo. Sanford Sueshi Nagatori, 68, of Captain Cook, died Sept. 18, 2022 at The Queen’s Medical Center. Born April 6, 1954 in Kona, he worked in the seafood department at Safeway Kona and a U.S Army veteran. Services will be held at a later date. Garrett “Gary Boy” “Narrows” Kealoha Peters Jr., 57, of Hawaiian Homes in Waimea, died Sept. 22, 2022 at North Hawaii Community Hospital.
